Environmental Training Modules

Dr Tiby Mozes has been involved with helping to guide government with their training modules in the environmental field, as part of advisory meetings of the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA). The TMC team is experienced at preparing and developing highly customised environmental training modules for environmental managers and practitioners in the public and private sectors.


For instance, the TMC team was asked in the past by educational authorities to put together certain specific environmental training courses for the NQF 3 educational level and to guide government with regard to the curricula for NQF levels 1 to 8 (and NQF levels 9 and 10 being created and implemented at present). Thus, the TMC team is well positioned to develop environmental training modules of a variety of kinds, for a variety of purposes, for any of these educational levels 1 to 8 (and the new NQF levels 9 and 10 being created and implemented at present). These environmental training modules cover a variety of environmental sites and plants and a variety of environmental activities and impact areas in these sites.


The TMC team also offers similar environmental training modules for the private sector, particularly for company SHE and SHEQ managers, divisional environmental managers and practitioners, site and plant supervisors, groups of site operators, mainly in the equivalent NQF levels 1 to 8 and, in also levels 9 and 10 (being created and implemented at present). The TMC team offers clients in the private sector the preparation and development of these environmental training modules, both in a modular documentation format and in a powerpoint presentation format.


The TMC team also offers training modules for environmental managers and practitioners in the public and private sectors, geared towards an understanding of the rationale and the technique behind environmental impact assessments (EIA’s) and their efficient implementation in their site and plant environments and highly customized for their own particular environmental situations. This includes, but is not limited to, the development of customised scoring systems for environmental impact assessments (EIA’s) being performed by environmental managers and practitioners in the public and private sectors.
